Located along the CoastĀ of Baunei, between Cala Mariolu and Cala Biriala, the Grotta del Fico can be reached by sea, from the ports of S. Maria Navarrese, Arbatax, Cala Gonone, Orosei and La Caletta.
The guided tour inside takes about an hour, it is interesting and engaging. You should stop and visitĀ this show caveĀ for the incredible beauty of its rooms, the variety of its rock formationsĀ and colors. After almost twenty years of opening to the public, today the Grotta is recognized as one of the wonders of Sardinia.
The most photographed spot by visitors is the famous siphon thatĀ used to give shelter to MediterraneanĀ MonkĀ Seals until the late 1980s.

During the tour, it is forbidden to touch rocks and formations, to try to preserve this stunning and delicate system at best, so that we will share it with future generations.
It is allowed to take pictures, as long as the flash is off.
Accessibility
The entrance to the cave is located about 10 m above sea level and can be reached via a long staircase on the cliff.
There are also stairs inside the Grotta.
