Guided hike along S’Istrada Longa

Overhangs, exposed passages, some of the least frequented corners in the Baunei area. It is a long walk, as the name already reveals, challenging due to the terrain and some delicate passages, but unforgettable for the immense silence, for the views and perspectives it offers.

Hike description

The first part of the excursion to S’Istrada Longa takes place on an off-road vehicle, for about 2 hours, up to the Margine plateau. We continue on foot, first along Baccu Addas for its entire length, crossing a small piece of primary forest, forgotten by the charcoal burners. You then look out over Baccu S’orruargiu, admire the famous rock arch, and proceed at altitude until you reach the passage almost dug halfway up the wall.

Stony grounds, exposed passages and aerial ledges are present along the route: good trekking shoes are absolutely necessary!

Don’t forget to bring with you enough water, a packed lunch and your swimsuit: at the end of the trek the stop at Cala Sisine awaits you!
